Workshop for Educators

Register below your interest in coming along to one of our evening Workshops for Educators, while we're on tour in your rohe/region.

We love to run at least one evening workshop for music educators, or educators in general, of younger tamariki (specifically pēpi through to about Year 1 or 2), while we’re on tour.

The fee to attend is $40 per person, and registration is through Humanitix.

We have had At-Home Educators, Volunteers who run Community-based Music Groups, Librarians, Church Groups, etc, join us in our workshops, so, nau mai, haere mai!

To accommodate Early Childcare kaiako who finish a little later than Primary School kaiako, we run the workshop on a weeknight from 6.30-8pm. We try to keep the workshop light, fun and very interactive, and we supply a light supper, aka. brain food!

Here are our proposed tour dates, below:

  • North Canterbury – Sunday, 27 April to Friday, 2 March 2025
  • Far North – Friday, 3 October to Saturday, 11 October 2025
  • Tauranga – Tuesday, 28 October to Saturday, 1 Nov 2025
  • West Coast – Sunday, 19 April to Friday, 24 Apr 2026
  • Sydney (Aust.) – Friday, 9 October to Saturday, 16 October 2026

We look forward to hearing from you!

WORKSHOP for EDUCATORS FORM

Obviously, as visitors, we will not be familiar with venues in each town/city we tour in, so welcome any suggestions!
We would love a space that can accommodate approx. 100 (purely for the space to move around, not necessarily the amount of attendees expected), provide a screen (for powerpoint presentation), tables and chairs, and a bonus would be access to a Kitchen (hot water for cuppas). We can bring our own sound gear.
We may add these at the end, during Q&A, if not covered during the workshop.
We generally offer a fruit platter, and cheese 'n meats platter, plus some choccie biccies (including Dairy Free, Gluten Free biccies), and drinks (hot and cold options).

THANK YOU for taking the time to fill out this form!

We will be in touch if we need any more information or once we have received enough interest to go ahead with a workshop. Either way, you will hear from us soon!

"Lovely ladies. Inclusive, welcoming, and valuable sharing of ideas. Fabulous waiata - wonderful resourced - it is special that so many children get to hear their own languages and therefore feel seen, heard, included and valued."

"Leah and Siu were both so lovely to talk to in person and so down to earth. I got so many great ideas for how to run music sessions with my preschoolers. Thank you so much!"

"Thanks for being so generous in sharing your music and mahi! Awesome for someone like me who is not so musically gifted but know the importance of it for our tamariki"
