Loopy Tunes on Tour - Info Page

Kia ora! Mālō e lelei!

Welcome to our LOOPY TUNES ON TOUR – INFO PAGE!

Twice a year, in April, and then again in October, we have been touring different regions of our beautiful motu/country! During our week-long tour we spend most of our time running music sessions at local Preschools, will hold one or two public concerts for whānau and an evening workshop for educators of young tamariki. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to check out where we’ve toured so far and where we’re headed to, next!

For those new to our mahi/work, here’s a quick wee intro… ko Leah tōku ingoa, ko Siu taku teina, ko ‘Loopy Tunes Preschool Music’ ta māua pakihi. My sister and I are a children’s music duo, usually known as ‘Loopy Tunes’. We are Ōtautahi | Christchurch based and have been involved in children’s music for about 14 years now and are in our sixth year of running it as our full-time gig!

We love to create, perform, and release waiata that is intentionally bilingual and intentionally for younger tamariki. However, we also create waiata that the whole whānau can enjoy and have a wee kanikani to, too! For more info on what we do, and who we are, then check out our Artist Bio.

Expressions of Interest Form!

Here is our Expressions of Interest form below, which is now open for our 2025 tours to North Canterbury and to the Far North! Head to the bottom of the page to check out where we’re heading to in 2026, and if you’re super keen, you’re welcome to fill out the form for that tour, too! We look forward to hearing from you!

CONTACT DETAILS

Please enter your contact details, below, then fill out the section that is most relevant to you, then scroll to the bottom of the form for the Comments Section, or to Submit the form:
- SECTION 1: Music Sessions at an Early Childcare Centre (Preschool/Kōhanga/Kindy/Playcentre,etc)
- SECTION 2: Booking Enquiries for a Performance/Event/Concert
- SECTION 3: Workshop Expressions of Interest

SECTION 1: MUSIC SESSIONS at EARLY CHILDCARE CENTRES

Our out-of-town fee for running an interactive 30-minute music session (during the weekday, before 2pm), is $380.
PLEASE NOTE: this is not a booking form. We are only gathering expressions of interest. We will email all interested Centres with a proposed schedule, approx. 3-6mths before our tour date.

Please note: We will do our best to include any requested waiata. However, some of our waiata are not as suited to a small group music session as others (ie. are less interactive, or better suited to a Concert setting), but we will definitely try, and will let you know if we can't.

SECTION 2: BOOKING ENQUIRIES for an EVENT/PERFORMANCE/CONCERT

Our standard out-of-town fee for a super fun, interactive, bilingual, 40-minute performance starts at $900. A quote will be sent through once details of the performance have been finalised.
PLEASE NOTE: When we're on tour, we have at least one weekend performance/concert, and one during the week - sometimes midweek, and sometimes on a Friday.

Potential dates are fine, we can kōrero more, after we've received your enquiry, to finalise dates
Please note: the sound system fee will vary, as sometimes we will be hiring gear for our week-long tour, other times we're able to bring along our own.

SECTION 3: LOOPY TUNES WORKSHOP, EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

We love to run at least one evening workshop for music educators, or educators in general, of younger tamariki (specifically pēpi through to about Year 1 or 2), while we're on tour. The fee to attend is $40 per person, and registration is through Humanitix. We have had At-Home Educators, Volunteers who run Community-based Music Groups, Church Groups, etc, join us in our workshops, so, nau mai, haere mai!
To accommodate Early Childcare kaiako who finish a little later than Primary School kaiako, we run the workshop on a weeknight from 6.30-8pm. We try to keep the workshop light, fun and very interactive, and we supply a light supper, aka. brain food!

Obviously, as visitors, we will not be familiar with venues in each town/city we tour in, so welcome any suggestions!
We would love a space that can accommodate approx. 100 (purely for the space to move around, not necessarily the amount of attendees expected), provide a screen (for powerpoint presentation), tables and chairs, and a bonus would be access to a Kitchen (hot water for cuppas). We can bring our own sound gear.
We may add these at the end, during Q&A, if not covered during the workshop.
We generally offer a fruit platter, and cheese 'n meats platter, plus some choccie biccies (including Dairy Free, Gluten Free biccies), and drinks (hot and cold options).

THANK YOU for taking the time to fill out this form!

We will be in touch at least 3-6 months (or more!) before our date! We look forward to meeting you all!
